After watching the season finale, I first noticed that Aang was told by the Garu that if he left, he would never be able to return to the Avatar State again. But in the last few minutes of the episode, Aang meditated to try and forget Katara, and got into the Avatar State, to be slowly shot down by Azula. What question's me is, how was Aang able to go back into the Avatar State, when the Garu said he couldn't go back ever again into it.
