Trusting her, as he had no clue where he was, he merely kept his hands on the hilts of his blades. He could, most likely, trust her, but he had to be ready for anything...

"Ha, we'll be there by nightfall.", she proclaimed, starting to climb a hill. On the other side of this would be the now broken bridge. with a stone one below it, a fewfeet to the left - which is why they didn't fall on it.

He was glad they would be there before the next day dawned, but he was also concered; their journey had already included one ego bruising experience so far. They didn't need another so soon after the first...

The girl stepped tentaviatly onto the rock bridge. She felt nothing loosen or sway, so she started across, al the while telling herself 'don't look down, don't look down...'.

Supressing what fear he may have had, Brad began to follow her across the bridge, sure that it would hold both of their weight at the same time...

As the teen theif reached the other side, she sighed, grinning. "Well, all we have to do now is get back to th' city an' find your gang.",Obsidian told him.

"Let's go, then." He stated, as if his word was law, "The sooner we get back there, the sooner we can both go on with our lives. I'm sure you have something better to do than hang around here...and I sure as h*ll know that I do."

She shook her head, and snorted laughingly. "Ah have nu'in t' do right now. An what would you an' your team do, hm?", she asked him mockingly.

He gave her a slightly friendly glare and stated, "You know what we'd be doing; we'd be robbing some of those snobby mansion folks; giving from the rich and giving to the poor."
Of course, it was an unspoken fact that he and most of his team had been either beggars or peasants for most of their young lives. In fact, they had to beg, sometimes, when jobs just didn't make ends meet. It was also true that he was far too proud to tell a new acquaintance about that somewhat embarassing truth.

"Not wit' dat. You'll have to let it heal first.", she told him, finally reaching the gates.

"They can work without me. We may be a team, but we know when we gotta split up for a while." He explained, knowing for certain that they could easily find an easy to rob place and remove anything of value, "Always good to have a back up plan for when someone in the group is injured..."

She shrugged, making her way slowly downhill. "I never was one for working with other people.", she said, eyes not meeting his, focused on the ground in front of her.

"Gotta work well somehow, whether it's with a group or alone. Only thing different when working with a team is how we help each other out." Brad paused, before adding, "I wanted to be a solo job at one point, but then I realized how I wasn't much of a thief, myself. In fact, I'm not much at anything, unless it involves talking fast or using these swords." It was true, he was a better speaker than a fighter or thief. Then again, he was the leader because of his street smarts and all that.

She glanced back at said swords. "What exactly can you do with those?", she asked him, glad that they had finally reached the bottom of the hill after a few minutes' walking.

He looked back at her for a moment, before beginning to explain, "Well, the double sword style is rare in this land, so few are prepared to fight against it, especially when you catch them off guard. I suppose you could say that I'm one of the best fighters that ever became a thief." He smirked, definitely proud of that 'fact'.

She looked suprised. "You were a fighter before a theif?", she asked him, turning slightly to look at him. usually it was the other way around - you got dumped into the world of theivery and had to learn how to fight.

"I sorta learned them both together. The only things I could afford after becoming a refugee was two swords and some food, I had to learn how to use them, sometimes bandits would pick on the weaker beggars and such. Also, it wasn't easy to rob rich people without weapons to take out their guards." He took a moment of silence to think of his next words.
Finding them only seconds later, he continued, "Once Pick and I got the team together, we all started focusing on our individual talents. He happened to be the best at skulking around in the shadows and making locks...malfunction." He paused, unsure of whether or not telling her his team's talents was a good idea or not.
Brad decided that it didn't matter much; one thief wouldn't be able to take down four, even if she did know all their secrets.
After reassuring himself mentally, he continued, "Beauty's good at... 'persuasion', Tiny doesn't carry that club for no reason. I just happened to have a talent for the blades, so I learned quite a few things about using them on my own."
Once again, noiselessness reigned over them, "So, what about you? I'm sure you aren't useless with a weapon...or your hands, if you've stolen anything more than purses and robbed anyone smarter than a drunk."

She smirked. "Well, I do have a few tricks up my sleeves. I'm good with daggers and a short sword, but I'm best at the bow and arrows. Unfortuneatly, I can't carry them around the city.", she told him, after a minute.

"Yeah, those guards are getting tough now adays." Brad nodded, remembering a time where a guard had decided to give him some 'stick time' for carrying a hidden knife. Granted, it wasn't in Fier, but it hurt all the same...and it was still a Ellswinian Guard.
He made a note to be careful around the young woman. If she had any tricks up her sleeves, he would have to be cautious...

~ I ish making her a werewolf too. Just for a spin, to liven things up a bit. Tis okay? ~
Kat nodded, and started to climb over the lower part of the cities defense - a large fence. The half elf was unusually graveful, one could note - as, if she slipped, she'd be able to catch herself (and the fence) quicker than normal. Unfortuneatly, if that fact got out, she'd be shunned more than she was for being a theif - at least, when a human theif stole in the city, it was a human on human crime. If any other being (or worse, a half, such as her) stole, it would cuase much more of a hubub.
